North to Alaska!
After you complete the State of Illinois assignments, we will concentrate on Alaska, especially the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896. Eventually, we will read a very good story about two gold miners. The link below will introduce you to the Klondike Gold Rush on the Yukon River in both Alaska and Canada. Do you think you would have participated in the Gold Rush if you were alive in 1896?
